Writing an effective Business message is a intrinsic part of the communication skills required in the business field. A writer must implement four techniques to be sensitive to their audiences needs in order to write a successful business message. First, adopt the “you” attitude so the writer of the message is forced to see the message through the readers eyes. This technique helps meet the readers wishes, interest, hopes, and preferences. Second, if a writer uses good etiquette, it can reduce poor emotional reactions to the message. Third, by emphasizing positive points in a message, it will help build a good relationship with the audience. Finally, using bias-free language will help ensure that the audience can not be offended by what is being said. In conclusion, a business message will be most effective if it does not offend the audience reading it.
Business communication skills are pivotal in today’s society. Being able to write a well written business message is one aspect that can greatly increase a person’s business communication skills. First, an effective business message is well organized and has no gramatical errors. One way to do this is by proofreading your first draft a few days after writing it. When a first draft is read a few days after it is written, it enables the writer to find errors that are not as obvious. Second, a writer needs to consider their audience and cater to their expectations. If a writer does this, they ensure that their message will be more effective with their audience. Third, make the beginning and end of your message interesting, relevant, informative, and geared towards the readers. A reader remembers the beginning and the end of a message the best, so by having an effective opening and closing, it ensures the reader will retain more. Finally, a good message must check for common mistakes that cause a loss of clarity and conciseness. A few methods for doing this are to break up long sentences, keep paragraphs short, and deleting unnecessary words and phrases. In conclusion, there are many factors that go into an effective business message, however, if these steps are taken it will ensure that a message will have the maximum effect.

Being an effective oral presenter requires a presenter to use the three step written presentation process. To have all parts of the process a presenter must include planning, writing, and completion into their presentation process. The planning phase includes analyzing the situation, gathering information, selecting your medium, and organizing information. For the writing phase of your presentation you need to adapt to your audience, compase the message, and structure the message with a introduction, body, and conclusion. Finally, the completion phase requires revising your message, producing it, proofreading your message, and distributing the message. Most important of all to be an effective presenter one must practice all aspects of the presentation. If a presenter follows all of these steps they will deliver an effective oral presentation.
